In this workshop we’ll share and discover the actual experiences in working with youth and how to engage and involve youngsters by using co-creation, rehearsing technique, storytelling and interpretation.
As music professionals, teachers and parents we feel very responsible for children and youth in general. We want them to experience (vocal) music in a mental and physical way. We want them to place this in a context of society: how can music support them to become positive, critical and engaged members of society?
In all this information written above there is a lot of: “We want them too … “. But how do we get natural and honest engagement to singing and be part of a community? How can vocal music help them to deal with a complex world and how can we support them as music professionals, friends, teachers and parents?
In this workshop we’ll focus on:
- Engagement by using co-creation
- Social security
- Inner safety
- Rehearsal technique, how to establish confidence.
