We thank all the vocal ensembles for their interest in the Contest for Vocal Ensembles. Below you will find the results of the qualifying round based on sound files. Twelve ensembles were qualified for the final.
The jury described the qualifying round as follows:
“The level of qualification for the Contest for Vocal Ensembles was good, with styles ranging from classical music through pop and jazz to ethnic music. The large number of acoustic ensembles was a pleasant surprise. It was also great to see several new Finnish ensembles taking part – indeed, one of the purposes of this competition is to inspire and activate vocal ensembles. The workshop training that accompanies the competition is an important part of the Contest experience. Welcome to Tampere!”
